O’Neill’s four-point night pushes Yale past Princeton

Brian O’Neill had a goal and three assists, leading Yale to a 5-2 victory over Princeton on Friday.

Antoine Laganiere scored twice for the Bulldogs (13-13-2, 10-10-1 ECAC Hockey), and Jesse Root had two assists.

Yale and Princeton (8-14-6, 6-12-3) traded goals twice through the middle of the second period, when Andrew Calof tallied his second of the night for Princeton at 11:28. But two minutes later, O’Neill scored the eventual game winner, putting the Bulldogs ahead for good.

Nick Maricic made 26 saves for Yale, and Mike Condon made 38 saves for Princeton.
