Archibald, Nebraska-Omaha top Minnesota to stretch winning streak to seven

Josh Archibald completed a three-point night with a tiebreaking goal 4:43 into the third period Friday to lift No. 13 Nebraska-Omaha to a 3-2 victory over No. 3 Minnesota.

The Mavericks ran their winning streak to seven games.

Archibald added assists on a first-period goal by Dominic Zombo that opened the scoring and a second-period goal by Jaycob Megna that tied the game at 2-2.

Zach Budish and Christian Isackson scored for Minnesota in the first period.

Adam Wilcox made 24 saves for the Golden Gophers (9-3-2, 4-3-2 WCHA), whose unbeaten streak ended at six games.

John Faulkner stopped 19 shots for the Mavericks (9-3-1, 5-1-1).
