Four players score as Minnesota earns series split with Minnesota State

Adam Wilcox made 26 saves as No. 1 Minnesota recovered from a series-opening loss to beat No. 14 Minnesota State 4-1 on Saturday.

Justin Holl, Nate Schmidt, Zach Budish and Erik Haula scored for the Gophers (18-4-4, 10-4-4 WCHA).

The Mavericks’ Zach Lehrke cut Minnesota’s lead to 3-1 in the third period and Minnesota State had a Johnny McInnis goal waved off on video review 27 seconds later because the puck went in off his glove.

Stephon Williams stopped 25 shots for the Mavericks (16-9-3, 10-9-1), who ended Minnesota’s 10-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 win on Friday in Minneapolis.
