Kerins hat trick sends RIT to easy exhibition win

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Freshman Liam Kerins had a hat trick, and Gregory Amlong added four points as Rochester Institute of Technology crushed Ontario Institute of Technology 9-1 on Saturday.

Chase Norrish, Garrett McMullen, Brady Norrish, Alexander Kuqali and Myles Powell also scored for the Tigers.

RIT’s Mike Rotolo stopped all 18 shots he faced in the game’s first two periods. Christian Short allowed one goal to Alex Derlis on seven shots in the third.
