TRENTON, N.J. — Joe Snively scored twice as No. 13 Yale claimed the title at the Capital City Classic with a 6-1 victory over Massachusetts on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (2-0) scored twice in each period in running out to a 6-0 lead before Shane Walsh scored the lone goal for UMass (4-1-1).

Mike Doherty, John Hayden, Ryan Hitchcock and Ryan Obuchowski also scored for the Bulldogs, who got 25 saves from Alex Lyon.

The Minutemen’s Henry Dill stopped 10 of 13 shots he faced before being replaced by Nic Reynard, who stopped 15 of 18 shots.
