Maloney’s overtime goal completes Ferris State’s rally past Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Mitch Maloney scored 47 seconds into overtime Friday as Ferris State rallied past Bemidji State 3-2.

The Bulldogs tied the game with 25 seconds left in regulation on Simon Denis’ goal.

Gerald Mayhew also scored, and Darren Smith made 28 saves for Ferris State (11-9-5, 9-7-3 WCHA).

John Parker scored twice, and Michael Bitzer stopped 27 shots for the Beavers (10-10-4, 7-9-3).
