PRINCETON, N.J. — Kelsey Koelzer completed a hat trick and Molly Contini tallied three assists as Princeton defeated Brown 6-1 at Hobey Baker Rink on Friday night.

The Tigers’ offense was running on all cylinders as 10 players contributed on the score sheet, and the team fired 51 shots on net.

After Hilary Lloyd opened the scoring at 8:10, Koelzer netted her first of the game and eventual game winner midway through the first.

Brown’s Sam Donovan cut the Tigers’ lead in half with three minutes left to play with her sixth goal of the year, but Jaimie McDonell increased the deficit again just 1:45 later to send the Tigers to the locker room with a 3-1 lead.

Cristin Shanahan scored the only goal in the second period, set up by Fiona McKenna and Stephanie Sucharda, who tallied two assists each.

Koelzer capped off the game’s scoring in the third with her 10th and 11th goals of the season.

Kimberly Newell improved to 9-3-1, stopping 12 shots in the first two stanzas before Alysia DaSilva took over in net for the Tigers in the third, making three saves and earning an assist.

Goaltender Julianne Landry put forth a huge effort in net for the Bears, finishing with 45 saves.
