Seven Harvard players score in rout of Ferris State

MINNEAPOLIS — No. 7 Harvard scored three times in the opening 15 minutes and cruised past Ferris State 7-3 on Friday in the semifinals of the Mariucci Classic.

Lewis Zerter-Gossage, Jimmy Vesey and Jake Horton skated the Crimson (7-1-3) to a 3-0 lead. Kyle Criscuolo, Devin Tringale, Seb Lloyd and Colin Blackwell also scored for Harvard, which will play host Minnesota in Saturday’s championship game.

Jacob Hetz, Trevor Recktenwald and Ryan Lowney scored for the Bulldogs (8-9-4).

Harvard’s Merrick Madsen stopped 34 of 36 shots he faced before giving way to Peter Traber, who allowed one goal on three shots.

Charles Williams made 28 saves for Ferris State.
