Back to full strength…

BC kills the BU power play allowing only one quality shot to Matt Gilroy that forced Schneider to make a right pad save.

  1. “No movement in the top five”, yet you point out that now Northern Michigan is 5th, replacing Ferris State. I don’t get the repeated mistakes like this in your columns. It happens so frequently one would think it is done on purpose to give us something to complain about…

  3. The key for the Gophers is that despite having a subpar PP and PK and not being the dominant team, some people and some Gopher fans expect, they are still finding a way to win close games *and* road games. 14-2-3 no matter the closeness of the games is an incredible record to date.

  4. What’s going on with the Gophers? No forward could find the net against Penn State? Does Sam Warning still play for the Gophers. Is Kyle Rau getting outscored by all the freshmen except the backup goaltender? Will the PP and PK perform better? Will Gophs continue to lean on Adam Wilcox? These PSU games should be tuneups.

  5. Close on the score board but if you watched the game last night we controlled the play, we out shot and out played them. McAdam is the only reason it we didnt score 7 or 8. We genereated good chances and he stood on his head.

  6. Realistically, I expected at least one close game against Penn St this weekend. It’s their first Big Ten home series, against the #1 team in the polls, against one of the most storied programs in the sport, and it was an odd day/time. Plus, tonight’s game is on national tv on BTN. All of those combined were bound to up the emotions and level of play for PSU and it showed last night. The Gophers were dominant for long stretches, but McAdam was great between the pipes and the Gophers didn’t finish as well as they could have. Hoping for a more “comfortable” victory tonight, but I’ll take any type of victory for the Gophers.

  7. Sorry Paula, but there were long stretch’s that MSU couldn’t get out of it’s own way trying to clear the zone. With out Jake Hildebrand, this team would still be looking for their fifth win. I still see this team fighting PSU for 5th place in the BIG.

    • Well then they probably don’t like the results either. Same goes for St.Cloud. I think the ex CCHA teams deserve a little more credit then they have been getting.

  8. I hope they sold out the Target Center before this weekend games. A semi-final with Western Michigan, Miami, Denver, and just think if CC beat ND.
