Second women’s Division III NCAA regional rankings released

The NCAA has released the second of three weekly Division III women’s hockey regional rankings.

A similar process will be followed on selection Sunday, March 3, to determine seeding and at-large berths but those results will not be published. Regional rankings will also be issued on Feb. 26.

Undefeated teams remain atop each region. Plattsburgh leads the eastern region, while Gustavus Adolphus leads the west. In the east region, Trinity (No. 6) and Amherst (No. 7) swap positions, Connecticut College moves up one position to No. 9 and Hamilton enters at No. 10. Last week’s No. 9 Utica drops out of the rankings. In the west region, St. Norbert enters the rankings at No. 6, while St. Thomas drops to No. 7 and Bethel falls out of the rankings.

The complete list of rankings includes 10 teams from the east region and 7 teams from the west region.
