Big Ten suspends Minnesota’s Bristedt one game for hitting from behind against Penn State

The Big Ten announced Saturday that Minnesota senior forward Leon Bristedt has been suspended for one game as a result of an incident that occurred in the game against Penn State on Oct. 13.

The action was taken by the conference after a review of an incident that occurred near the 8:47 mark of the second period and resulted in Bristedt receiving a major penalty for hitting from behind and a game misconduct.

Bristedt is ineligible to play in Minnesota’s next game on Oct. 15 against Penn State.
