Former RIT assistant Walkland moves to similar role at Oswego

Oswego announced Friday that Chelsea Walkland has been named the women’s team’s first full-time assistant coach.

Walkland joins the Lakers’ staff after being an assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology last year, winning a Division III national title.

During the 2010-11 season, Walkland served as the hockey operations manager at Robert Morris, where she also played from 2006-10.

At RMU, Walkland appeared in a program-record 139 career games, recording 41 career points while serving as an assistant captain during her junior and senior seasons.
