After 10 seasons, Hutchins out as Southern New Hampshire head coach

Ken Hutchins is out as head coach at Southern New Hampshire, a school official confirmed to USCHO.com Thursday.

“Per SNHU athletic department and university policy, we cannot elaborate further on personnel matters,” said an SNHU athletic department spokesperson.

Hutchins, a 1987 graduate of SNHU, just completed his 10th season behind the Penmen bench and went 13-14-0 (4-7-0 Northeast-10) in 2016-17. Over his 10 seasons, Hutchins posted a record of 91-161-19.

It’s unclear whether SNHU’s assistant coaches — Mike Cloutier, Steve MacIntyre, Kyle MacDonald — were retained, but the coaching page on the team’s official website is currently blank.
