Manhattanville coach Lang steps down to pursue other opportunities

Following four years with both the Manhattanville men’s and women’s hockey programs, Eric Lang has stepped down from his position as head coach of the men’s team to pursue other opportunities.

In his one year with the men’s hockey program, Lang took over the team as just the second coach in program history and guided the Valiants to a 13-9-3 record and a second-place regular-season finish in the ECAC West.

Prior to the 2011-12 season, Lang guided the Manhattanville women’s team for three seasons, leading the squad to its eighth ECAC East tournament championship and NCAA tournament appearance in his final season of 2010-11. In three seasons with the women, he posted a 58-22-3 record.

The school will begin a national search for Lang’s replacement immediately.
