Biggs leaves Miami after one year, signs with Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that they have signed Miami forward Tyler Biggs to a three-year entry level contract.

Biggs will forgo his last three years of eligibility at Miami after scoring nine goals and 17 points for the RedHawks last season.

Earlier this offseason, Biggs said he would not be returning to Miami. He was originally the Maple Leafs’ first-round choice (22nd overall) in the 2011 NHL draft.
