Atlantic Hockey Picks Nov. 23-25

Last week: 8-1-2
On the season: 44-22-113 (.639)
This Week’s Picks:

Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24:
Mercyhurst at Bentley – With Niagara idle and Holy Cross in non-conference play this weekend, here’s a chance for one of these teams to make a big move with a sweep. But I’m picking a split in what should be the best series of the weekend. Mercyhurst wins Friday; Bentley Saturday.

Air Force at Connecticut – Both teams have had their ups and downs so far. Last season, they met five times, all at Air Force, with the Falcons winning four times. I’m picking them in a pair of close games. Air Force sweeps.

Friday, Nov. 23:
Clarkson at Rochester Institute of Technology – The teams are a combined 4-12-6 this season. Clarkson is 2-0 against the Tigers since 2006, including a win the one and only other time the Golden Knights have played at Ritter Arena. I think that trend continues. Clarkson wins.

Princeton at Sacred Heart – The Pioneers are going to win a game at some point, but probably not here. Princeton has been inconsistent so far this season but should pull out a victory. Princeton wins.

Saturday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 24
American International at Canisius – The teams are one point apart in the standings, and I think they will stay that way. I can make a case for either team to sweep (Canisius has scored more goals as of late, AIC is as talented as it’s been in recent memory) but I’m picking a split. Canisius wins Saturday; AIC Sunday.

Sunday, Nov. 24
Holy Cross at Brown – The Bears shut down Army last week 3-0, but I think they’ll have a tougher time with Holy Cross. The Crusaders are undefeated in their last four games, and should keep that streak going. Holy Cross wins.
