Women’s WCHA announces ’17-18 All-WCHA Teams, which feature several underclassmen

The women’s WCHA announced Friday its 2017-18 All-WCHA Teams.

“On and off the ice, each and every season, our student-athletes show why the WCHA is the premier league in college hockey,” said WCHA women’s commissioner Katie Million in a news release. “We are proud of each All-WCHA honoree for their athletic and academic successes, and applaud them for a wonderful season.”

Showcasing the league’s impressive group of underclassmen, freshmen and sophomores account for five of six All-WCHA First Team selections, and nine of 18 spots overall.

Defense: Sydney Baldwin, Sr., UMN; Jincy Dunne, RS-So., OSU

The 2017-18 WCHA Offensive Player, Defensive Player, Goaltender, Rookie, Outstanding Student-Athlete, Coach of the Year and Overall WCHA Player of the Year, will be announced next week.
