NCHC suspends Miami’s Johnson one game for kneeing penalty against New Hampshire

The NCHC has issued a one-game suspension to Miami senior forward Carter Johnson stemming from an illegal hit during the RedHawks’ game against New Hampshire Friday night at Steve Cady Arena in Oxford, Ohio.

During last night’s game, Johnson was assessed a major penalty for kneeing and given a game misconduct penalty at 15:45 of the third period.

Johnson will be required to serve the one-game suspension during Miami’s series finale tonight against New Hampshire in Oxford. He is eligible to return for the RedHawks in their series opener against Ferris State next Friday, Oct. 18.
