Charity Beanpot Challenge to go down Feb. 13

The Fifth Annual Charity Beanpot Challenge to benefit the Travis Roy Foundation and the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation is looking for adult hockey players to participate in the benefit games that will take place on the afternoon of Feb. 13, 2012 at Agganis Arena in Boston.

Each participant plays in one of the two benefit games. Following the games, each player receives a ticket to the private Garden View Suite at the TD Garden to watch the Beanpot final. Players also receive a complementary gift (Last year was an L.L. Bean vest), as well as a Reebok NHL-style jersey and socks.

Limited space is available.

“The Charity Beanpot Challenge has been a huge success over the years, as players truly have a great time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere,” said Travis Roy, one of the event’s organizers, in a statement. “More importantly, we raise a lot of money for two great foundations.”

Through the first four years, the Charity Beanpot Challenge has raised approximately $425,000.
