MASCAC picks: Dec. 7

Talk about a great week!  For the first time this season I swept all my MASCAC picks!
Another exciting weekend of MASCAC hockey is upon us, as we approach the halfway point for most D-III conferences. In the MASCAC standings, there seems to be a tight race for the top, as only two points separate the top four teams. With big implications on the line, fans should be ready to watch some exciting action!
Let’s take a look at the picks.
Saturday, Dec. 8
Mass.-Dartmouth Corsairs vs. Framingham State Rams
With the way the Corsairs are playing, there is no letdown in this one. Framingham State right now has yet to find a win, and has given up the most goals in the conference. Up font, the Corsairs are one of the strong teams in the MASCAC, and will roll past the Rams. Mass.-Dartmouth 6-1
Salem State Vikings vs. Worcester State Lancers
A very intriguing match-up in the MASCAC. Worcester has been able to keep games close, and has now won three straight. The Lancers look like they may have turned a corner here, but unfortunately, the momentum stops in this game. The Vikings are a MASCAC title contender, and have been solid defensively all season. Salem State will gain from its defense in this game and be more aggressive up front. Salem State 5-2
Fitchburg State Falcons vs. Plymouth State Panthers
Talk about your nail-biter. This one has all the makings to have you on the edge of your seat. The Falcons are one of the stronger offense teams in the MASCAC all season, while Plymouth State has been able to keep a lot of pucks out of the net. The Panthers though, at home have been lights out and are a bit deeper roster wise. I like Plymouth, but in a close one. Plymouth State 4-2
Record to Date: 10-6-2 (22 pts.)
