Boston College enters break top-ranked team in D-I men’s poll

The top six teams in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll remain the same as last week, including top-ranked Boston College, which received 44 of 50 first-place votes this week.

No. 2 New Hampshire garnered four first-place votes, while third-ranked Notre Dame had the other two first-place nods.

Minnesota stays No. 4, as does Miami at No. 5 and Boston University at No. 6.

North Dakota and Western Michigan flip-flop from last week, with UND sitting seventh this week and the Broncos dropping to eighth.

Quinnipiac retains the ninth spot and Dartmouth is again tenth in the poll.

Cornell is up one to No. 11, Nebraska-Omaha up one to No. 12, Union jumps one to No. 13, Denver tumbles three places to No. 14 and Yale holds steady at No. 15.

St. Cloud moves up one to No. 16, while Niagara falls one notch to sit 17th this week. Minnesota State goes from No. 20 to No. 18, Ferris State is again No. 19 and Colgate and Harvard tie at No. 20.

There will not be a poll next week. The next poll will be released on Monday, Dec. 31.

The USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.
