North Dakota, St. Lawrence each have two on list of 10 finalists for 2013 Hobey Baker Award

The top 10 candidates for the 2013 Hobey Baker Memorial Award were announced Thursday night, with North Dakota and St. Lawrence each placing two players on the list.

The 10 finalists were selected by voting from all 59 Division I head coaches and by online fan balloting at www.hobeybakeraward.com.

Next, the 23-member selection committee and an additional round of fan balloting (at www.hobeybakeraward.com) through March 31 will determine this year’s Hobey Baker winner.

The Hobey Hat Trick will be announced Wednesday, April 3 and the winner will be announced Friday, April 12 in Pittsburgh during Frozen Four weekend.

Minnesota-Duluth forward Jack Connolly won the award in 2012.
