Massachusetts senior Auvenshine suspended indefinitely after off-campus incident

Massachusetts senior forward Emerson Auvenshine has been suspended indefinitely from the hockey program.

“Due to an off-campus incident, we have suspended Emerson from the program on an indefinite basis,” said UMass coach John Micheletto in a statement.

According to a report on MassLive.com, Auvenshine allegedly broke into an ex-girlfriend’s apartment before being arrested. He was charged with breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property less than $250.

Auvenshine played in four games this season, netting one goal. He has missed much of the season due to an injured ACL.

Overall at UMass, Auvenshine has played in 40 games with two goals and two assists.
