  1. Hockey East is a better league than the ECAC. I do not mean any disrespect to the ECAC I think the ECAC is also a good league but Hockey East is a better league. Hockey East teams get to the Frozen Four year after year generally. Last season Union was the first ECAC team to get to the Frozen Four since 2003.

  2. There is no doubt that Hockey East has a substantially better record in the playoffs. However, that record is not reflected in the regular season in most years with the most recent example being that ECAC has had a better record than hockey east at this point of the season, 2 of the last 3 years.

  3. I know this isn’t your area of responsibility, but the BU–Providence result from 09 December is not included in this site’s stats. It’s also on the wrong date on the schedule page.

    BU’s Web site says the result was 6-0 BU.
