Big Ten hands down one-game suspension to Penn State’s Scheid

The Big Ten announced Monday that Penn State senior forward Eric Scheid has been suspended for one game as a result of an incident that occurred in the game against Michigan State on Dec. 5.

The action was taken by the conference after a review of an incident that occurred near the 19-minute mark of the third period and resulted in Scheid being assessed a major penalty for contact to the head plus a game misconduct.

Scheid is ineligible to play in the Nittany Lions’ next game on Dec. 11 against Princeton.
