Weekend wrap: Feb. 12

No. 9 Amherst at Hamilton
On Friday, Katie Parkman scored twice in the final 1:46 to erase Amherst’s 2-0 lead and force overtime and Sara Taffe scored a power-play goal with 49 seconds to go in the extra frame to give Hamilton the upset win. On Saturday, Hamilton set a program record with their 14th win. Emily Williams scored the lone goal in the second part of the third period to give Hamilton the 1-0 win and the sweep.

No. 2 Wisconsin-River Falls vs. Wisconsin-Eau Claire
Wis.-River Falls has two losses this season, and they’re both at the hands of Wis.-Eau Claire. On Friday, the Blugolds scored once in each period to take a 3-0 lead before a Wis.-River Falls added a late power-play goal. Elizabeth Bauer had a goal and two assists in the 3-1 win for Wis.-Eau Claire at home. On Saturday, Wis.-Eau Claire scored first, but three straight goals from the Falcons proved to be enough for a 3-2 win. Hailey Herdine scored twice and Carly Moran added a goal and an assist for Wis.-River Falls

Buffalo State at No. 8 Oswego
Rachel Lenard scored twice against her former team to lead Buffalo State to a 2-1 upset of Oswego on Friday. Oswego avenged the loss on Sunday with a convincing 5-1 win. Olivia Ellis scored twice and Julieann White scored once and had two assists in the win. Lenard had Buffalo State’s lone goal.

No. 4 Elmira at No. 1 Plattsburgh
Plattsburgh and Elmira traded goals twice before the Cardinals’ Courtney Moriarty scored twice in the third period to give Plattsburgh the 4-2 win. Moriarty scored the first goal on Sunday and added two assists. Jordan Lipson scored a short-handed goal and a power-play goal en route to a 4-0 win and a Cardinals sweep.

St. Thomas vs. No. 10 Augsburg
On Friday, Augsburg’s Danielle Heitkamp, Emily Ach, and Megan Robertson scored to give them Auggies the 3-0 win at home. On Saturday, St. Thomas scored four straight before the end of the second period and Augsburg could not recover. Kathryn Larson scored twice and Becca Zarembinski had two assists for St. Thomas in the 4-2 win.

The rest of the top 10
Northland at No. 3 Adrian
Kaylyn Schroka had five goals and an assist and Kristin Lewicki had two goals and five assists in Adrian’s sweep of Northland. They won 7-0 and 5-0.

No. 5 Lake Forest at Marian
Amy Budde had three goals and two assists en route to Lake Forest’s weekend sweep of Marian. The Foresters won 3-1 and 5-0.

Colby at No. 7 Middlebury
Maddie Winslow had four goals and two assists and Jessica Young had a short-handed goal and four assists to lead Middlebury to a sweep of Colby. The Panthers won 6-0 and 8-1

No. 6 Norwich 7, University of New England 1

No. 6 Norwich 5, Southern Maine 0
