Hockey East announces pair of suspensions to Maine's Binner, Vermont's Lodermeier

Hockey East announced today that Maine freshman defenseman Alexis Binner and Vermont sophomore forward have each been suspended for one game stemming from an incident between the two teams at 13:54 of the first period on Saturday, Dec. 2.

After Tim Doherty scored for Maine, Binner, who assisted on the goal, was whistled for a minor penalty for hitting after the whistle and Lodermeier was tagged with a major penalty for facemasking and a game misconduct.

Binner will miss the game on Friday, Dec. 8, at Quinnipiac and is eligible to return to the Black Bears lineup Saturday, Dec. 9, at Quinnipiac.

Lodermeier will sit out the game on Saturday, Dec. 9, against Brown and can return to the Catamounts on Friday, Dec. 29 against St. Lawrence.
