No. 4 Minnesota State – swept No. 10 Minnesota in home-and-home

No. 5 Notre Dame – split at home with No. 7 Ohio State

No. 6 Penn State – split with Arizona State at home

No. 7 Ohio State – split at No. 5 Notre Dame

No. 8 Denver – swept Western Michigan at home

No. 9 Bowling Green – split at home with Northern Michigan

No. 10 Minnesota – swept by No. 4 Minnesota State in home-and-home
