Defenseman Teddy Ruth will skip his final season at Notre Dame after signing a contract with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets.

Ruth played in 100 career games for the Irish, registering four goals and 17 points.
He was a second-round pick of the Washington Capitals in 2007, but the Blue Jackets obtained his rights in 2008 via a trade.
