Eichel, Hanifin, Werenski among top six North American skaters in midterm draft rankings

Three college players were among the top six North American skaters in midterm rankings for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft released Tuesday by the league’s Central Scouting Service.

Boston University forward Jack Eichel was No. 2, Boston College defenseman Noah Hanifin was No. 3 and Michigan defenseman Zach Werenski was No. 6.

They were among seven current collegiate players ranked by Central Scouting.

More than 60 players known to have committed to colleges also appeared on the list, with Michigan and North Dakota leading the way with six recruits each.
