Union really needs that 9th seed because they’ve owned Clarkson the last few years. That’d be their ideal opponent to get to the next round.

i’m wondering if they have a shot if they were to get past clarkson in the first round

Union should not have won last night, but with one sided officiating what do you expect. Its one thing to be outplayed but to let a disgusting crew and showmanship of officiating like that, its the only reason union won..

but they won

Nice analysis, but unfortunately for you Cornell has 22 points, not 21. So that gives a lot more options then you have stated. They should have had 23, except for the officials disallowing the obvious overtime winner last night.

Fixed; thank you.

Yale loss, Dartmouth and Colgate wins, then rocks / paper / scissors? Yale has ties v. Colgate, Colgate has ties over Dartmouth, does Dartmouth have ties v. Yale? D & Y split, Y has total goals 8-7. Does the tie breaker go to records v top 4, or does it go to total goals?

record v. all 3 is first tie breaker, so y is 2-1-1, d is 1-2-1, C is 1-1-2, so d is dropped to 5th.

brian – thanks for being so responsive to the questions.

Hey, no time to waste when it’s the last day of the season!

If Lowell shows up and beats BU, that will really make things interesting.

Consider it interesting.

Big ULowell win tonight. A split against BC and a sweep of UMass might get Lowell a 3rd or 4th seed. A bye would be nice…

Absolutely, Though Gravellese and O’Brien did us no favors last night.

Going to be interesting to see how BC responds after being thumped by MC. Notre Dame has the toughest schedule moving forward, with 2 each vs PC and BU, but they also have a game in hand. PC has about the same schedule as UML with 2 tough ones and 2 cupcakes left.

That all said, UML currently sits at 8 in the pairwise. Good enough for a #2 seed in one of the regionals. If they take care of business w/UMA, I think they are in. A split w/ BC would probably lock it up even with one loss or tie vs UMA.

If things stay the way they are, I think HEA gets 4 teams in, w/UVM on the outside looking in.

Big night in Friartown, pre game ceremony honoring Providence legends Granato, Wilson and Lamoriello.

Watching the BC/Merrimack game on NESN. The Forum looks like a ghost town. Probably a good thing with the BC has played.

BC has always been a lame fan base. A large school with most of the students living on or near campus and with all the media gushing over anything BC. Then you see a half full arena. I was at the Tsongas arena in Lowell with another crowd of over 6000 people for a game with BU. That place is always rocking.

BC wasn’t even half full. And I remember games at the Tsongas where there were 3 rows of people standing because it was so packed.

Yup, Fire Marshall was not happy. 3rd straight year leading all of HEA in attendance.

…and less than 100 BU jersey’s by my estimate. Most over in 113.
