ECAC Hockey announced its annual postseason awards at a banquet held Saturday as part of the 2015 ECAC Women’s Hockey Championship weekend at Clarkson University.
Cornell’s Brianne Jenner won the league’s Player of the Year Award for the second time during her storied career, as well as the league’s Best Forward honor. She led the league in scoring in each of her years in ECAC Hockey, tying this year with 33 points.
Sarah Edney from Harvard took home the league’s Best Defenseman award, while the league’s Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year both went to Clarkson’s Shea Tiley, who led the conference in goals-against average (1.16), wins (16) and winning percentage (.773). She only allowed 25 goals in 22 conference games, making 459 saves for a league-best .948 save percentage.
Matt Desrosiers who guided the Golden Knights to their second consecutive regular-season title, posting an 16-4-2 record, earned the league’s Coach of the Year award for the second year in a row.
Quinnipiac’s Chelsea Laden won the Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year award and Quinnipiac as a whole won the SquadLocker Sportsmanship Award.
Additionally, the league announced three All-League Teams and one All-Rookie Team.
