  1. I get this is a CCHA blog, and no one equals or even rivals Paula’s visible and tangible love and dedication for / to her conference, but after a pretty long and convincing pick on how big a game the BC/ND was and how ND would win, felt it probably should have been given a quick mention in this space. Forgetting the result, it was an immensely entertaining game between two of the nation’s best.

Certainly nothing consequential, just an observation from an avid reader (and yes, Eagles / Hockey East fan).

    • Agreed… My guess is PW will soon cover the Big Ten, and ND going to HEA next? season makes the Irish a little bit of lame duck. While her dedication to CCHA is commendable, her commentary in regards to the national scene has been somewhat biased (to the Midwest), which supports the CCHA’s arrogance over the years. Just not a fan. Absolutely thrilled to have ND in HEA.

      • As has been noted it is a CCHA blog, not really enough content to call it a blog, but why would she discuss HEA? BC is all world we know that the rest of the conference is sub par..top to bottom CCHA is better than HEA and normally is, but fortunately you have BC to bail you out year after year. It is not arrogance from the CCHA just better hockey.

        • Does it really matter which conference those who fancy bragging think is better? Great hockey is great hockey… EVERY conference is capable of it. You’re really missing the point… Last time I looked ND is still in the CCHA, until “everyone” leaves. They just played a great college hockey game against the #1 team in the country, so it is worth mentioning. Further more, my guess is ND will win a national championship coming out of HEA before they would from CCHA. Speed, baby, speed (which most of the CCHA doesn’t seem to have enough of)…

  2. Seriously USCHO, you censored this???

Time to sit Boyle. The ferocious fore check of the first half was possible because the team had the confidence that if they got stuck below the dots, Boyle would be there to bail them out. Not anymore. The fore check is meek at best. BU had absolutely no problem clearing the D-zone, hitting the neutral zone at full speed and shredded UML’s D. Not sure if it’s 14 freshmen finally catching up with them, or they have an issue in the room. Either way, Bazin has his work cut out for him.

  3. Lowell isn’t the only one tanking. UVM is also tanking at the wrong time. Giving up 4 goals in the 3rd period of a must win game Saturday night was pretty awful. Instead of being a point back of 3rd there now stuck in 6th place. It’s looking more and more likely UVM is going to have to win the Hockey East tourney…something they’ve never done to make it to the NCAA tournament.
