New England College versus Plymouth State
If the season ended today, New England College would not make the NEHC playoff tournament. The Pilgrims are two points away from Plymouth State in the standings, so the importance of this game is key for New England College to get back into the playoff picture. Both teams have similar statistics, which makes picking this game very difficult. However, I can see the Pilgrims’ desperation to get back in the playoffs as the deciding factor. New England College 2-1

Friday-Saturday, Feb 1-2

No. 5 Hamline versus Concordia (Minn.)
Concordia (Minn.) had a strong performance against St. Thomas last weekend. This weekend, they find themselves competing against another strong ranked opponent, Hamline University. However, Hamline has the ability to score more goals per game than St. Thomas, and I believe that will be where Concordia (Minn.) will struggle. Hamline 4-1, 3-0

Trine versus St. Norbert
Trine is looking to hold on to a playoff spot in the NCHA, and St. Norbert is right behind them looking to take their spot. Trine has played very well against top teams, Lake Forest and Adrian. I would expect them to defeat St. Norbert and remain in the playoff picture. Trine 2-1, 3-1

No. 8 Norwich versus No. 6 Middlebury
Norwich has been falling in the rankings, and beating Middlebury could be the push they need to get them back up. Middlebury has not played a ranked opponent since November, and that is why I am picking Norwich to win this game. Amanda Conway and the rest of the Cadets are too much of a scoring powerhouse. Norwich 4-2

No. 2 St. Thomas versus No. 4 Wisconsin-River Falls
St. Thomas continues its undefeated streak, and I’m sure every team would love to deliver them their first loss. Wisconsin-River Falls has been finding the back of the net a lot in their last few games, with only one exception. The Falcons will need to work extremely hard to put enough pucks behind Kenzie Torpy, and I believe that is exactly what they will do to come out on tops. Wisconsin-River Falls 3-2 (OT)
