Maine suspends four from women’s hockey team for violating code of conduct

According to the Bangor Daily News, four Maine women’s hockey players have been suspended indefinitely for alleged violations of the student-athlete code of conduct.

The four players suspended are senior defenseman and captain Alyson Matteau, senior forward Cailey Hutchison, junior defenseman Brittany Kucera and sophomore defenseman Maggie Blair.

According to the report, Blair was arrested by Orono police in the early morning of Feb. 17 and charged with operating under the influence of intoxicants.

Hutchison, Matteau and Kucera were reportedly suspended because they were allegedly involved in an altercation at an Orono restaurant and bar.

None of the three were arrested.
