The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that the club has signed Mercyhurst junior defenseman Joseph Duszak to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Duszak appeared in 37 games with the Lakers this season and recorded 47 points (16 goals, 31 assists), which ranks third among NCAA skaters and leads all NCAA blueliners.
In 101 career games with Mercyhurst, Duszak registered 99 career points (30 goals, 69 assists) and 98 penalty minutes.
Duszak is expected to join the Toronto Marlies later this week on an AHL tryout basis.
