Quinnipiac blueliner Rafferty leaves after junior season, signs with Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks have signed Quinnipiac junior defenseman Brogan Rafferty to a one-year, entry-level contract.

“We’re pleased to have Brogan join our organization after a solid career at Quinnipiac,” said Canucks GM Jim Benning in a statement. “We look forward to him taking the next step and continuing to evolve his game.”

A native of Dundee, Ill., Rafferty appeared in 38 games for the Bobcats in 2018-19 and collected 24 points (four goals, 20 assists).

In three seasons with Quinnipiac, Rafferty accumulated 60 points (nine goals, 51 assists) in 108 games.
