St. Cloud State’s Lizotte signs with Kings, gives up last two seasons with Huskies

The Los Angeles Kings have signed St. Cloud State sophomore forward Blake Lizotte to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Lizotte will forego his last two seasons of NCAA eligibility and is expected to join the Kings “in the coming days,” according to a Kings news release.

A native of Lindstrom, Minn., Lizotte appeared in 37 games this season with the Huskies, posting 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists), a plus-28 rating and 28 penalty minutes.

Over the course of his two seasons in St. Cloud, Lizotte tallied 69 points (22 goals, 47 assists), a plus-44 rating and 48 penalty minutes in 76 games.
