Irish Fight On!

Notre Dame continues it magical ride with a 5-4 overtime win over favored Michigan. At 5:44 of overtime, Dan Venard’s shot was stopped by Hogan, but he left a big rebound for Calle Ridderwall, who beat the Michigan goaltender low-stick.

The fourth line and third set of “D” come through for the Irish, who will play Boston College on Saturday for all the marbles.

  1. B1G – Hockey East Challenge update: Last week ended with the B1G trailing 16-12. In the most lopsided weekend of the challenge, Minnesota scored a home sweep and MSU earned a road split for a 5 point gain. B1G now leads 19-18 with 4 games remaining. PSU visits UM-Lowell for a pair and Minn visits BC and Northeastern.

  2. Surprise split by MSU. If it wasn’t for Hildebrand in the Friday game, a UNH sweep would have happened. They need Hobey type Goal-tending every game in-order to have a chance. Other then the Tender, the rest of the team looks very weak.

  3. Penn State’s upcoming games vs. Lowell will give us a good idea how good the Nittany Lions are. Lowell claimed every loose puck, won every important face off and dominated Northeastern on Saturday night.
