Rensselaer suspends goaltender Hackett for ‘failing to uphold team standards’

Rensselaer sophomore goaltender Cam Hackett has been suspended indefinitely from the men’s hockey team, for “failing to uphold team standards,” according to a school-issued press release.

Hackett will not take part in any team activities until the suspension has been lifted, noted the release, and the suspension leaves Chase Perry as the lone goalie on the Engineers’ roster.

This season, Hackett is 2-8-0 with a 3.89 GAA and a .892 save percentage.
