Atlantic Hockey suspends Canisius defenseman Bennett one game for actions against Niagara

Atlantic Hockey has suspended Canisius senior defenseman David Bennett one game for his actions in the Dec. 8 game against Niagara.

Bennett was whistled for a five-minute major for contact to the head and issued a game misconduct in the first period of Friday’s game.

Upon reviewing the hit, Atlantic Hockey officials determined that the play warranted additional discipline.

Bennett will be unavailable for the Golden Griffs when they host Niagara Saturday afternoon at 4:35 p.m. EST.
