Boston University AD Lynch resigns; was at helm during hockey scandal in 2012

Boston University athletic director Mike Lynch announced his resignation Monday after a 10-year stint that saw longtime hockey coach Jack Parker retire in 2013.

According to the Boston Globe, Lynch will step down June 30 and will be succeeded on an interim basis by his deputy, Drew Marrochello.

Under his watch, Lynch presided over a 2012 scandal involving the hockey team and after a school task force found that “poor oversight” contributed to a “culture of sexual entitlement,” Parker retired soon thereafter.
