Briggs Suspended Three Games By Gophers

Minnesota senior goaltender Kellen Briggs has been suspended for three games due to an unspecified rules violation. Minnesota’s athletic department made the announcement in a brief statement Wednesday afternoon.

Briggs will sit out the Golden Gophers’ Oct. 6 game against Maine and the Oct. 13-14 series against Wayne State.

Briggs appeared in 32 games last season for Minnesota, amassing a 21-6–3 record, a 2.55 GAA and a .904 save percentage. His career record is 67-28–6, with 2.54 GAA and a .903 save percentage.
