North Dakota announced Wednesday that forward Westin Michaud has officially committed to transfer to the school following his upcoming graduation at Colorado College.

The graduate transfer, who will complete his undergraduate studies in May, will have one year of eligibility remaining and will join the 2019-20 Fighting Hawks squad.

“Westin is a competitor and we’re happy to add that to our offensive group,” UND coach Brad Berry said in a statement. “We were an attractive option for him to continue his career and our fans will like how he plays the game.”

Michaud collected 30 points this past season on 13 goals and adding 17 assists. The Cloquet, Minn., native had seven power-play goals, including three in the NCHC playoffs alone.

For his career, Michaud has played in 114 games over his three seasons at CC, scoring 29 goals with 33 assists for 62 points.
