I’m working double duty this Frozen Four, writing for USCHO.com as well as doing radio for RIT. We just set up in our broadcast location, which seems like a bazillion miles away from the ice.

That said, if a football stadium can be called “intimate”, Ford Field can. It has more of the feel of a domed baseball field than a gridiron.

The building is chilly right now, but the fans haven’t been let in yet. It will be interesting to see how the ice holds up and if they can control the humidity with the large crowd. Right now, it looks soft. We’ll know soon enough.
