Atlantic Hockey doles out suspensions to Mercyhurst’s Ferriero, Army’s Pomarico

Atlantic Hockey announced suspensions for two players stemming from actions that occurred during the Army-Mercyhurst game on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The conference determined additional action was needed following review of major penalties committed by Mercyhurst’s Nathan Ferriero at the 19:11 mark of the first period and by Army’s Christian Pomarico at the 18:40 mark of the third period.

Ferriero’s major penalty for contact to the head, which also received a game misconduct, will keep him out of Mercyhurst’s next game at Ohio State on Friday, Oct. 30, while Pomarico was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for interference late in the third period, an infraction that will keep him out of Army’s home game against Bentley on Saturday, Oct. 31.
